The 7^th Edition of the Italian Festival of Oriental Dance, Music & Culture has already lived precious moments of communion, exaltation and joy all mixed together.

Throughout meetings, conferences, workshops, performances and galas, the Italian Festival has brought the audience to make a trip without luggage in the arabic world.

Basically there is a strong and hard teamwork that with feeleng has tried to approce the audience to the hosted international artists even though we are living a difficult storical situation. We undertake to do this to make the “STELLE D’ ORIENTE” Festival every year a great success.

The Festival is an occasion to meet between the communities, an exortation to tollerance, to dialogue and to the discovery of the “differences”.

« Une odeur de brise- Shemm en nassim, it is that current in time through the Nile River when it still flowed with the song of the life cycle. In the whistle of the breeze that carried the scent of flourishing nature, I surrendered to images of lost time.

Like remnants of buried emotion and memory, those images led to the writing of a new choreography, conveyed by deep, ancestral sounds as well as freestyle contrasts from the musical soundscape, ''Nil Sangit'' written by composer Georges Kazazian.

ENROLEMENT FEE 50,00 € for each style for 2 dancers groups + 10,00 € for each added dancer (Example: 3 dancers group 50,00 € + 10 € = 60,00 €; 4 dancers group 50,00 € + 20 € = 70,00 €)

RULES

ACCEPTED ENROLEMENT FORMS TO 1^ST EXHIBITION SHOW “MARATONA D’ORIENTE” ONLY OF DANCERS PAYING ALSO FOR FESTIVAL WORKSHOP

The enrolement fee is inclusive of 1) category and style enrolement to the Festival “STELLE D’ORIENTE”® 2008; 2) thatre and space utilization; 3) sound and light service

The enrolement fee is not inclusive of 10 € entrance ticket to the show for friends, parents or assistants.

Payment of enrolement fee must be done within 15 February 2008 by credit transfer (see reservation form clic DOWNLOAD http://www.centroaziza.com/festival/festival.htm ) send in attachment to reservation form by E-mail

Each performer must hand over to the organization at Registration professional cd (2 copies) with only 1 track for each exhibition MAX 3 min. (over size music will be faded). Write on cd name and surname, group or school, title of choreography and timing.

GIURY:

Giury will be composed by teachers, choreographers and show personalities – giury will evaluate technique, choreography and expression – the giury advice is final and unchallengeable – the organization may change the components of the giury at any moment

Entrance list will be established by draw – Dancers must be at the thatre at least half an hour before performance, if not exhibition will be cancelled (there will be be NO other opportunity) as order of entrance cannot be modified and NO refund of enrolement fee.

PRIZES AND REWARDS:

- SOLIST CATEGORY travel and accommodation to Cairo in occasion of Raqia Hassan’s International Festival AHLAN WA SALHAN - June 2008 and the privilege to dance in the Closing Galà of the same Festival.

- GROUPS CATEGORY student’s grant - n°1 workshop at next Festival “STELLE D’ORIENTE”® - 8^TH Ed. 2009 for each group component.
